What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They are used to remember preferences and enable certain features. Some cookies are set by us; others are set by third-party services we use.
Cookies We Use
Functional (localStorage)
Drum-Tuning.com saves your drum kit configuration — drum types, sizes, and tuning character — in your browser's localStorage. This is stored entirely on your device and is never transmitted anywhere. You can clear it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for drum-tuning.com.
Analytics (PostHog)
With your consent, we use PostHog to understand how visitors use the calculator — for example, which drum sizes are popular and which features are used most. PostHog stores an anonymous identifier in your browser's localStorage (key prefix ph_) to count returning visits. No names, email addresses, or other personal information are collected. Data is stored on PostHog's EU servers. PostHog is only loaded after you click "Accept all" on the consent banner.
Advertising Cookies (Google AdSense)
We use Google AdSense to display advertisements. Google and its advertising partners set cookies to serve ads that are relevant to your interests based on browsing activity across websites. These cookies may include:
- IDE — used by Google DoubleClick to register and report user actions after viewing or clicking an ad.
- DSID — used to identify a signed-in user on non-Google sites.
- test_cookie — checks that your browser supports cookies.
How to Control Cookies
You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of some features (such as remembering your kit).
To change or withdraw your consent for analytics cookies on this site, click the Cookie preferences link in the footer of any page. The consent banner will reappear and you can update your choice at any time.
To opt out of personalised advertising by Google, visit Google's Ad Settings or aboutads.info/choices.
You can also use the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent your data from being used for analytics purposes.
