Frequencies Are Starting Points Only

The frequencies provided by Drum-Tuning.com are suggested starting points based on common drum sizes and widely-used tuning practices. They are not guaranteed to be the perfect tuning for any specific drum, drumhead brand, shell construction, bearing edge, or playing environment.

Actual resonant frequencies vary significantly depending on shell material (maple, birch, mahogany, acrylic, etc.), hoop type (die-cast vs. flanged), drumhead brand and model, head age and condition, room acoustics, and personal preference. Always use your ears to make the final call.
